BEAUTY / Aqua Finish

THESE are like new baby skin in a bottle! I bought them from Japan in March and theyre just so amazing! I mean it's summer here in Australia but with a help of aircon and tons of setting spray , it does stay. I love the story of the brand as it was born from the late 80's by a Japanese actress. The foundation is a complexion booster that gives off a natural radiance. At this stage, natural-ism is an elusive concept. Everyone wants to be natural but it's becoming more and more expensive. Well, this foundation is pretty reasonable in Japan so I got two! It's a must-have definitely!

TRAVEL / The Broad Museum

To be honest I wasn't really keen to visit Los Angeles.  I am so damn sure that there are nice places to see and visit but we weren't able to grasp the transportation system as much as we have hoped for. However, we were in LA and no time must be wasted. I wasn't a big fan of our hotel but when Larrend announced that we are going to visit The Broad Museum, I reclaimed my spirit within a second. I was so so excited to see Warhol's work including Basquiat , Jeff Koons , Keith Harring and of course, Takashi Murakami. It was an honor. I regret not having to visit Kusama's installation for there was a massive booking list that is impossible to get into. I shall see her work in Tokyo someday I swear !

OUTFIT / Rain proof

boots / Rick Owens

For many, rain is a hindrance. A halt to the continuity and normalcy of one's day. Rain is an excuse to not look forward to the day. For me it's where fun transpires. Though it is clear that I don't drive, I still get a bit excited at the thought of grayness in the atmosphere. Whenever it rains, everything appears shadowy and obscured. The kind of beauty that has an unfathomable character. There is filter in everything you see whereas the sun exposes everything like a paparazzi shot on a scandalous day. Rainy days are kinder. it's mellow and it makes you go soft and somber and romantic. I love the rain that it reminds me of Japan and how I loved every second of it. Yes we did get wet but is there a better place in the world to get soaked than in Tokyo?
